Police Arrest 22 Over Deadly Bus Attack in Plateau – 12 Killed, 11 Injured”

 Police don arrest 22 suspects after mob attack on wedding-bound bus for Plateau. 12 people die, 11 injured. Amnesty and Governor Mutfwang call for justice.

Police for Plateau State don arrest 22 people wey dem suspect say join mob wey attack one bus wey dey carry people go wedding. Di sad incident happen on Saturday, 22 June 2024, and e lead to di death of 12 people while 11 others wound.

According to tori from di Plateau State Police Command, di attack happen around Rukuba Road area of Jos North Local Government Area Di bus wey dem attack na from Kabba, Kogi State, and di people inside dey go attend one wedding ceremony.

Eyewitnesses talk say di attackers block road, stop di bus and begin attack di passengers with cutlass, stick and other dangerous things. Di victims no even get chance to defend demselves.

Di Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Alfred Alabo, confirm say dem don arrest 22 suspects so far and dem still dey do investigation to catch others wey run.

Meanwhile, Governor Caleb Mutfwang don condemn di attack and order security people to find everybody wey get hand inside di matter. He talk say this kind violence no go dey tolerated for Plateau again.

Human rights group Amnesty International also react, say di attack na clear human rights violation and dem call on government to bring justice quick-quick.

Governor Mutfwang say:

Plateau people don suffer too much because of this kain senseless killings. We go make sure say justice go reach di victims and their families."

Security don tight for di area now, and di police dey beg people make dem stay calm and report any suspicious person wey dem see.
